Congress to Campus
06 November 2025 09:30 - 15:00
Hugh Aston Building, ÃÛÌÒÖ±²¥, Leicester Campus
Join two former Members of the US Congress and leading academics in a lively and bipartisan discussion of major themes in contemporary American politics.
This is an exciting opportunity for Year 12 and 13 students to hear some of the critical questions and issues in US politics leap off the textbook page, as two former Members of the US House of Representatives – one Democrat, one Republican – share reflections from their direct experience at the heart of Washington D.C.
Discussing the latest trends and events with leading academics, this session supports classroom work on key topics in A-level US Politics courses, including reflections on the Presidency, Congress, Federalism, and Elections and Democracy.
This opportunity is relevant, but not exclusively for, students currently studying A-Level Politics. We encourage any students interested in studying politics and international relations to consider joining us for this informative session.
